Lauren Philson began her journey with photography and design in rural, post-industrial Western Pennsylvania and is primarily self-taught. With more than 10 years experience in both digital and film, Philson’s technical prowess is apparent in the precision and control of her compositions: her signature works are fantastic editorial photoillustrations and montages.

Philson's body of personal and commercial work has ranged in several arenas with her wearing one or a combination of hats as an art director, photographer, designer and most notably as an expert retoucher. No matter the subject matter or her role in the final image, the execution of all of her works are the product of a keen eye combined with hours of training.

Currently, Philson holds the title of Production Design Manager for Gilt Groupe - the phenom ecommerce start-up based out of New York City. She had previously operated her own creative services outfit and accomplished a Master of Arts in Media Arts.

When not behind a lens or in front of a computer, Philson enjoys time on the streets of Brooklyn and the Catskills of Greene County appreciating music, architecture and interior design.
